Hello Maria,
Should you not connect with a francophone living in the States via this cite, I suggest looking for a French language non-profit organization in the closest metro area to your residence. For instance, here in Dallas we have "Alliance Francais de Dallas". It is a 501(c)3 which offers both formal languages classes for those who want to learn French as we as social meetings for French speakers who are living in the area and want to connect with others who speak their native language. Surely there are similar clubs in other large cities. Good luck!
