Hallo Janine
Congrats on passing your exam! That's exciting, so that means you can drive now right? Do you get your own car? Mammoth Mountain is a big ski resort in California. It's about 5 hours from my house. In college, I am going to major in nursing. Hahaha yay! We figured out the word. So does the letter ß in german sound like a z in english? How far is the Baltic Sea from your house? Can you drive boats or swim in it? A pool diver dives in a pool while the scuba diver dives in the ocean. "Meet the Parents" was a great movie! I liked the part where Ben Stiller said he could milk the cat and so on in that scene. I haven't seen the Cosby Show in awhile but I used to watch it, it's really funny too. Have you seen "Zoolander"? It's such a funny movie! Ok, I might have an idea how we contact each other. Do you have a facebook?
Talk to you soon!

Hallo Shawna
I passed my exame! I´m so happy. Now I have to do the practical exame. Where is Mammoth Mountain? What do you want to study? Ok I know which word do you mean-the bad word. You mean "Scheiße". And no-nein(german) and yes-ja(german). Later we drive to the baltic sea for the weekend. We visit my aunt. There she spend her holidays with her family. Do you have any idea how we can write without the bulletin board? What is the different between pool diver and scuba? What is for you typical german? Yes I was in Italy before. I´m so excited. I watched the movie "Meet the parents". It is very funny. I never saw the first movie before. I just knew the second movie. Both are really funny. Do you know "The Cosby Show"?

Hey Janine
So far this summer I have been trying to hang out with a lot of my friends because we are all leaving to different colleges :( I also went up to Mammoth Mountain where we fished kayaked and just hung out. I just got back from my orientation and I'm really excited about college! My college classes will begin at 9 am at the earliest. But in high school my classes begun at 7:30 am too. Happy birthday to your sister then!
Ok, so you know that word that I don't know how to spell well it's a bad word. Oh and I know nine- no haha. When you mean diving do you mean scuba or a pool diver. I think both are extremely cool and seem fun. Best of luck on your driver's exam! Have you ever been to Italy before?

Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:Hi Shawna
Hallo Shawna!)
Do you like other sports activities too? I like Formel 1 I don´t know the englisch name(Formula 1?. And I like diving. I´m a diver!
Yes, now I have my summer vacation. Germany has an other school system like the USA. In Germany you go 6 years in the grade school(from 6 years until 12) and than you can go on a high school(for very good pupils) or on a secondary school(for good pupils) or you go on a "Hauptschule"(in englisch ther isn´t a name)(and this school is for not so good pupils). On the High school you go 7 years. On the secondary school you go 5 years and on the "Hauptschule" you go 4 years. And I´m on the high school in the 11 class. Ok after the vacations 12 class. And when you finished your high school you can go to college.
I have a sister, Michelle. She is 10. Today she celebrates her birthday with her friends. They watch the movie Lilo&Stitch.
Tomorrow I have my theoretical exam for my driver´s license. I´m so nervous.
I´m not a gold member. What do you do in your vacations? On the 8 august I drive with my family and a friend to Italy for 2 weeks. And the next few days I´m not at home because of the exame and than my parents want to go for the weekend to the baltic sea. I live in the near by Berlin.
When do the schools in the USA beginn? Our school beginn at 7:30.
Tschüss, bis dann
Janine :)

Hallo Janine :)
You are right, american football is pretty brutal but they wear a lot of padding and a helmet to make it a bit more safe. I did hear about the european cup, you said that Germany came in 2nd, CONGRATS! I do have holidays and I am actually on my summer vacation. I graduated high school which means that I finished it! My last day was on june 12 and I don't start college until the end of august. Do you have a summer vacation? Are you graduating high school this year (or how does your school system work)? I hated getting up in the morning for school- yuck, 6:30 is way early if you ask me. Unfortunately, I'm not a goldmember, are you(probably not, lol)? I have one older brother and thats it. He is about 2 years older than me. Do you have any siblings? Well it's 1:30 in the morning, I should get to bed!

Tschüss, bis dann!

Re:Re:Re:Re:Hi Shawna
Hallo Shawna(Hallo-hello)
In germany soccer is a popular sport and I believe everybody like it. I don´t know anything about football(the american one). I think it is a brutal sport. Do you hear of the european cup(I mean soccer)? Tell I you about it? I think yes, right? I don´t know which word do you mean with: sh-eye-za! But I´ll try my best to find it out. Do you know what it mean? "Gold" you pronouced similar like the "english gold". In english is the "o" long but in german the "o" is short. I mean you speak it not so long. And the "d" you speak a little bit like a "t". Do you have holiday? (holiday with "s" on the end-holidays or without the "s"?)
Are you a goldmember? And now to Tschüss. The "ü" you speak it like the "u" in "united" but this "u" (united) you speak like a "ju" but in german it is without the "j". And the "tsch" you speak like "tsh". (I hope you can follow me it is hard to explain! Sorry) Are you a gold member? Ah tschüss means bye! Ok, now I have go to bed. Tomorrow I have school and it is late.(22:06) And I have to stand up at 6:30. Do you have siblings? And what do you mean with graduating high school? I know what a high school is but the other one??? The next step? Wednesday is my last school day!!!
Tschüss(bye), bis dann(-means see you)

Re:Re:Re:Hi Shawna
Hey Janine, I wish soccer was as popular here like it is there! Football is probably the biggest sport here, and I mean a different football than soccer (the one like rugby). Oh, and it is totally fine that you don't like David B because I also think he isn't that good, but he did kind of make soccer a bigger deal here. I do know one word, but I don't know how to spell it. I'll sound it out: sh-eye-za! Hehehe I tried! So is gold just pronounced gold in german? Does Tschüss mean bye, and how do you pronounce it? Are you graduating high school?
Bye!

Re:Re:Hi Shawna
Hallo Shawna yes, I mean soccer. In america it isn´t a typical sport, right? I mean in america all play other sport like basketball or field hockey... The world cup was in Germany!!! It was great!! Unfortunately we was not the winner. But it was a great time. The whole country was a party and everybody and everyday you saw all people with the flag of Germany - Schwarz-Rot-Gold(black-red-gold)! Now we have had the european cup. Do you saw it? Germany was in the final but we don´t won. :( But we are a proud second place!! :) And i´m happy that you was routing for germany. ;)
I don´t like David Beckham. I find he is a little bit superficial-sorry. And he is married with Victoria. Next week I have summer holidays. 6 weeks!! Do you know any word in german?
Bye, Tschüss Janine
