Re:Re:Re:Re:Re:I want to make friends who are from English-speaking countries.
Hi there! Well, I'm currently still waiting to get back into university this year so in the meantime, I've been taking different language lessons hoping they'll prepare me better to meet different kinds/ethics of people when I get in. Alright, so I see that you're also quite enthusiastic about learning English and I guess going to a language school (in Japan?) to study English must have been costly. It's the same thing here in Hong Kong while trying to master a foreign language like English or Japanese, and sometimes Japanese lessons could cost even more than English lessons. In addition, it's relatively difficult to find bilingual tutors (both Eng and Jap) who can explain things better to you or allow you to have a casual conversation with them in your native language. Though I've been describing myself as if I really want to speed up my learning, I think it's just that I like being active as a person and take opportunities that I get. Because I know that you shouldn't really speed up your learning so much while learning a new language or else you might forget things easily after memorizing lots of things within a short period of time. So no matter how many phrases I know or kanji that I already know from Chinese, I still feel I need to spend more time in practicing the intonation of various Japanese phrases or sentences, even down to something as simple as saying 'konnichiwa' or 'o-genki desu ka?' That's why I didn't mind trying out the group lessons held only once per week even if I really thought I could be more enthusiastic about learning than other people in the class. Besides, I was still new to the language and wasn't sure if I should really invest in it yet.
So, I think we both feel the same about learning a foreign language because I also found out that aside from studying from textbooks, I¡¦d still need to get used to how Japanese people talk and what they¡¦re interested in, etc. And sure, I can be your friend and help you out on speaking English if you can be mine! ƒº However, we still have the problem of contacting each other for now¡K
