Looking for Japanese Pen Pals for English Exchange
Hello I am very interested in traveling and learning all about Japan, it's history, festivals, naturally the language and culture.
My only experience with the Japanese language is trying to read Manga in Japanese, watching anime and listening to Japanese music, so I am very much a beginner.
I am hoping to find a pen pal or two interested in helping me read, write, speak and perhaps one day meet as a guide or more in Japan. I am happy to help with the English language in exchange. I can offer help with text chatting and pen pal letters are my preference.
Anyone from Japan who is interested can let me know. I am happy to make friends and help out if I can.

Re: talking to toddlers
Привет Алёна,
when our teenager was a toddler, I don’t think that my wife and I used any special baby talk to speak to her. We did use standard childish words, e.g. “poop” as noun and verb (кака, какать). Are there particular Russian words or phrases that are used when talking to toddlers which you’re thinking of? Perhaps I could find English equivalents for those Russian words or phrases.
