I need help from those who speak German...
What is the difference between "sie" and "dir".......is one of them less formal, do they even mean the same thing??? Reply soon please.

"Du" you say to people like your friends, often your partners you are working with, children etc. It is less formal. "Sie you say to all other people. But you have to write "Sie" not "sie" "sie" has another meaning. If jou have any other questions mail me.

"Sie" is the formal "you" & also means "they". "Dir" also means you, but is used when it is an indirect object. "Dich" is used for the dirct object. Example: Sie lieben dich.(They love you.) Who do they love? you. For "dir", "Es hat dir gar nicht gefallen." (It didn't please you.) It is the indirect object. So thats when you would use "dir".
