hi every one
can an English help me to know answer of these questions?
1.what is relationship between "claim" &"challeng" ?
2.for words like" family;group;team;class;population;statistics"we should use single verbs or plural?

I hope this helps. Words which represent 1 group (family, population, group, team, etc. would use a single verb. For example: "my family is." This is because although it represents many people. It is only 1 group. A word like statistics would use a plural verb. For example: "The statistics are". The s on the end of statistics shows that it is plural. If it were statistic, then it would be "The statistic is". (Although it is always spoken in the plural form statistics.) Claim is saying something; Like: "I claim I am learning Spanish". You can do this on your own. A challenge involves another person. For example "I challenge you to a game of soccer" I hope this will help you!
