Swahili Native Tongue?
Hi, I am currently a 20 year old working on my Environmental Health Science degree. I am traveling to Kenya in May 2010 to do water/air quality testing research. I am extremely interested in learning Swahili to better immerse myself in the African culture; also to make this journey a more memorable event to always remember and never forget.

If you'd like to exchange, I'm very fluent in English and the language's grammar :)

I am also a 20 year old student from the US travelling to Kenya in May of this year...I'm not fluent in Swahili by any means but I might be able to help you out with some basics, depending on how much you know. I would say I'm almost conversational...I have several native friends to practice with but I've found that sometimes people have a hard time teaching their own language so it might actually help to get some help from someone who's coming from the same place...
I might also be able to answer cultural questions you might have...again, sometimes it's easier to get that kind of information from someone from the same culture as you...
