Hello everyone. My name is Valerie Gayle, the white washed Pilipina.
I am eighteen years old living in the States. My grandparents were both born and raised in the Pilippines. My lolo was stationed in the States after a while and decided to stay, making my father an Americanized Pilipino. I am completely 'white washed' with no real cultural ties trying to learn Tagalog.

Hi Valerie! White wash(ed) has 2 different meanings. The first is basically the same as white paint. It is a very cheap form of paint that was especially used in the old days for painting fences. The second meaning has to do with "glossing over and issue" or to conceal a wrong doing. You will have to decide by the context of the sentence which one applies to the item you are reading.
