I don't know if it's to late but I think it's ok to reply anyway
Paris is a big city so it's really difficult to see it all in 3 day.So you have to visit the most important eiffel tour , musée du Louvre , les champs elysees ,l arc du triomphe ...
the best thing to do when you arrive is to take a map of the city with buses and metro lines and itinerary .they put in it a guide to all important places .you ll find it in all metro stations for free .

Thank you for offering to help me, I have just got home from the trip last night and have had a great time, Paris is fantastic,did a tour of the city on the big red bus then tackled the metro. There are so many beggars and con men and illegal trinket sellers, I just had to learn to say no, and keep moving, otherwise it was safe and fun and I have never tasted such great bread and pastries!!!
