hi every body. This is rose. I am a native speaker of Arabic. I am syrian. I am translating part of a novel from English to Arabic. There are some expressions I do not understand. Its title is "Tuesdays with Morrie". For example 'classifieds'/ 'wear earth shoes' /' a beat-up Mercury Cougar'

Beat up mercury cougar is refrence to a car that is in poor repair and possible damage to the body.
