Hi, seeking Cambodian partners to teach Khmer Languange
Hi,
How to say; "Hi, how are you?" "I'm fine, thank you," "What is your name?" "How old are you?" "My name is..." "I want to be your friend / boyfriend, can I?" "You are pretty,"
in Khmer?
I need to learn Khmer in order to get to know my new neighbour, who is very pretty.. :) TQ

Re:Hi, seeking Cambodian partners to teach Khmer Languange
Haha aw good luck with your neighbour..I am not Cambodian myself, but am trying to learn for my boyfriend and do know some basics. To casually say hello, you say: sua s'day (s'day is one syllable.) How are you: Sok sa-bye tay (sa-bye is one syllable again) I'm fine: Kn'yom sok sa-bye (kn'yom is pronounced kin-yom) Thankyou: Awkun (Or-koon, oo said like look) What is your name: Tar nyek chmou ay (nyek is kinda like neck but with a 'ye' sound in there lol. chmou is pronounced ch-mooah) How old are you: Tar nyek ah yook pon maan hai (a in maan sounds like the a in darn) My name is: Kn'yom chmou _______ <say your name lol. Not quite sure how to say the next one, i know some youtube videos have advice on how to say relationship stuff, i only know how to say 'i love you' which is, for a boy to a girl: Bong salang oun. You are pretty: From boy to girl usually, oun gee sa'art. Well thats what my boyfriend says anyway and I understand him. Hope this helps :)
