A classroom set of tablets seem to be a very common sight in classrooms nowadays (at least in the U.S.) If schools have enough funding, they'll often have a set of macbooks as well. Google Classroom is really popular among teachers as well, for its practicality and easy access. I personally like smartboards because I can show students content from my computer without having to print/copy etc.
