Tagalog is an interesting combination of Spanish and, I think, Malay and Sanskrit...

And Tagalog also includes a lot of "made-up" words or slang that are used in everyday language, some examples:
tambay : from "standby" refers to someone who is jobless and hangs out all day doing nothin
chu-chu: a snitch, someone who reports bad behavior to a teacher or boss
jologs: a rather new word refering to person/s, things or behavior that is low class or not-cool

Hi! I am an 18 year old girl living in the US but I spent the first 12 years of my life in Manila, Phillipines. My father recently passed away and I would love to get a tattoo in Tagalog. I was wondering if you could translate a sentence for me: "My heart still hurts." I am also wondering the word for "father". My tagalog isn't very good (my native tongue is Cebuano and I'm more fluent in English than Tagalog! I understand well, but find writing harder). But here's my attempt:

Actually, I think a better translation is:
Nasasaktan pa rin ang puso ko.
(It means more of my feelings still hurts, rather than the first one, which is my heart is physically hurt.)
