A frenchman and an American went on a fishing trip.
The American was a beginner of french, and the Frenchman was teaching him.

Anyway, on the trail, the American saw a bug to use for fishing bait. He tells his French friend - "Il y a une insecte."
The frenchman corrected him by saying - "Non, il y a UN instecte. Insecte est masculin."

The American looked really hard at the bug and says - "My god, monsieur! How can you tell? You must have really good eyesight!".
