Hi Travis if you want to learn some Portuguese I would be glad to help you and maybe you can help me with my English. I can translate English well but I'm a little shy to speak. Write down is easier than to speak because I have time to think about what I want to communicate. I have the Messenger and I've just downloaded the Skyper in order to chat but I don't know how to use it yet.

Hello Fatima! Yes, it'd be nice to have a chat with you on Skype. To use it, it's pretty easy. You can add contacts, and on the bottom, there's a green button with a telephone sign on it. You click someone's name and you click the green telephone button and you can talk to people! (Oh yeah, you also need a microphone.)
What is your Skype name?
Oh...so you know, I am NOWHERE fluent in Portguese. I have a friend that lives in the Açores, so I only know a little bit from her...

I'm sorry I took so long to answer and thanks for answering me.
My Skype name is Perola42 (it means pearl in English), I choose this name because Fatima was the name of Maoma's daughter so the Muslims guys are always trying to add my name at their contact lists.
They are the same language, the principal difference between those language is basically in the accent and some expressions, like American English and England English.

Yes, I've been writing on the skype text chat with some people, but not voice chat, I really would like to voice chat with someone, but you have to know that my spoken English is not that good, and I hope we can connect well because the learning will be easier.
