I was born in California, but Greek was my first language—I spoke only Greek until I started kindergarten at age five. I later studied Spanish in high school and continued my language studies in college and university.
I hold a B.A. in Comparative Literature from UCLA, with an emphasis in Spanish Literature, and I also completed a minor in Italian Literature. During my studies, I focused on Spanish, Italian, German, and Greek.
I have experience teaching English as a Second Language, primarily to Spanish-speaking students from Mexico and Guatemala. I am currently teaching Spanish to K–8 students in Tiburon, California.
I am looking to improve my Greek, Italian, and German, and I am also beginning to learn Sicilian, Swedish, Scottish Gaelic, Turkish, and Russian. In addition to language exchange, I would love to collaborate with other language teachers, share teaching ideas and resources, and engage in thoughtful conversations about language, culture, and pedagogy.
