Details: Hi! My name is Ekaterina Pukalchuk, I am 22 years of age, Russian by origin. I resided in my home country till the age of 19. I graduated from high school and finished three years of college with English major there. I am currently a student at the University of Cincinnati and my major is International Affairs. I have lived in the USA for more than 3 years now and I am fluent in both Russian and English. Unfortunately, I have never been employed as an interpreter or translator before, which makes me want to try myself in this area even more. I am confident in my ability to interpret, since I received some hardcore training in this field while studying in Russia. Besides, initially I was studying British English, therefore I am able to speak and write very proper bookish English if necessary. However that does not make me any less proficient in the colloquial American language. Furthermore, I can say that I have a rather wide vocabulary due to my previous training as well as my reading habits. I read a lot of books on various subjects trying to expand my vocabulary. I hope my enthusiasm can help me make up for the lack of experience. Because the only experience I have is interpreting at mixed Russian-American parties and just for my Russian-speaking friends. I really hope that you will feel that you can give me a chance. That would be such a great opportunity for me as well as a valuable experience which will help me in my future occupation.
