B.TECH in Computer Science CERTIFICATION: Certified in SCSA (Sun Certified Solaris Administration – Ver. 9) (Both Part 1 & 2) EXPERIENCE SUMMARY: I have 3.5 years of relevant experience as a Unix Admin. Here I am working for project based on 24x7, to provide support for maintaining Production, Quality and Development UNIX Servers from Offshore. Most of Servers are located in US. PROJECT PROFILE: UNIX Server Support Period: Nov 2005 – Till Date Environment: Solaris 8, Solaris 9, Red Hat Linux, HP-UNIX. Software/Tools: Oracle, TSM, Web Sphere, Web Logic, JBoss. Description: Project is 24x7 based to provide remote support for maintaining Production, Development and Quality servers. Here we are maintaining around 300 Servers and providing supports for these. Mostly servers are using Solaris, Linux as Environment. Servers are situated in US and we used to give support from Offshore. Here we use Clarify Tool for ticketing purpose, Ticket comes on priority bases. All the Applications and Operating Systems errors will be resolved in time as par SLA. Responsibilities: · Attending day-to-day requests from users on ticketing basis. · Administering and managing around 300 Servers using Sun Solaris, Linux and HP-UNIX as Environment. · Maintaining User Accounts and resolving different problems of them raised by them related to their accounts, profile. · Maintaining Server performance and Tuning. · Administering issues related to Network services like ftp, Ssh, telnet, NFS etc. · Maintaining Backup and restore of File system, requested by User. Usually, use Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) and NetBackup for taking backup. · Configuring and managing Applications running on servers, like Web-Sphere, Web-Logic etc. · Providing Samba share and Sudo Access, Apache Services as par request. · Troubleshooting different types of problems related to Solaris, Linux. · Using Opsware tool to manage servers. · Troubleshooting Shell Scripts. Business Asset Funding Period: Sep 2004 – Oct 2005 Environment: Solaris 8.0 Description: Project is 24x7 based to provide Support for maintaining Production and Development Servers. Servers are situated in US and I used to give support from Offshore. Responsibilities: · Administering both Production & Development Servers in Solaris. · Administering & Enhancement for monitoring in-house activities are implemented using Batch jobs developed using Unix Scripts. · Maintaining User Accounts and resolving different problems of them raised by them related to their accounts · Used to take backup periodically, based on day to day, weekly and monthly. I used IBM- Tivoli Storage Manager for taking these Backups. · Monitoring and ensuring the smooth operation of Appworx Monitoring Tool. SOFTWARE EXPORSURE: Operating Systems UNIX, SOLARIS, Linux. Scripting Shell Scripting Tools Web sphere, Web Logic Backup Tools TSM, Net Backup SOLARIS & LINUX SKILLS: · User & Group Management with ACL’s · Setting and Changing BOOT PROM Variables. · Scheduling Cron-Jobs as par User Requirements. · Maintaining File Systems: UFS, SWAPFS etc. · Backup Management with scanning and monitoring. · Configuring & Maintaining Samba Share on UNIX Box. · Providing Sudo Access as par requested by user. · Package and Patch management. · Managing NFS Client and Server with AutoFS. · Installing and Troubleshooting Printers. · Monitoring Server Logs. · Disk Space Management. · Backup and Recovery. · Troubleshooting Shell Scripts. · Configuring and Maintaining network services like FTP, Send mail, And SSH etc. TIVOLI & NETBACKUP: We use TSM for taking backup and restoring files, directories and File System on Servers. · Have worked on Backup/restore Client of Tivoli Storage Manager. · Taking Full, Incremental and Selective Backup using TSM as par request. · Restoring Backup using TSM. · Troubleshooting TSM error logs and schedule logs. |
