Details: I am a 29-year-old first-year student of Spanish language, Hispanic literatures and cultures and a third-year student of philosophy at the Belgrade University (Serbia). I have Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English. Since I have graduated from grammar school, I don't have any specified profession. However, I have experience in translation (English into Serbian and vice versa). (I worked for a university professor as a translator.) I also have experience in teaching English and working with children (I worked as a private tutor with elementary-school students and as a babysitter). I also participate in family-business (my mother is an owner of a boutique), helping mainly as a substitute seller. I was forced to give up studying for six years due to financial problems of my family, during which time I worked at all the above-mentioned positions. This year, I have started studying Spanish language at the University of Belgrade. I don't have any previous knowledge of Spanish, so my competence in Spanish is still at the beginner level. I am still a student of philosophy and I hope to graduate from both faculties. However, the diploma in Spanish language is the more urgent aim because I have realized it would be very difficult to find a job as a professor of philosophy (both in Serbia and abroad). I am looking for any job but I am most interested in working as a teacher of Serbian (being a student of the Faculty of philology, I am not just a native speaker of Serbian but I have some theoretical knowledge of it as well). I am interested in both summer-jobs and permanent positions. |
