My vision of the approaches and strategies to best assist FL learners in acquiring
a new language. I believe that effective FL instruction should rest on a teacher-stude nt
dialogue in which all parties are equal, responsible, and reflective participants. I start my
teaching philosophy with discussion of the roles that teachers and students perform in the
FL classroom. I picture an effective instructor as the one who carefully guides student’s in
their learning journey, rather than authoritative ly teaches them. As a guide, the teacher
tail ors learning activities to students’ interests and needs, creates a friendly classroom
at mosphere to overcome learners’ anxiety and stress, and serves as a resource person who
can aid in answering difficult questions. Entering into an educational dialogue with the
teacher, students accept their roles as active learners to collaborate and learn from each
other and, ultimately, become autonomous in learning a FL.

Depending on what a student wants to learn in Swahili. Like I have said, my Swahili program can help a student who wants to learn the beginner level, intermediate and advanced in Swahili. For students who live farther from my city, province and country, I can teach them by Skype, email, online, etc. For other students who live near my city, I can teach them in person or in the classroom.
