First I need to understand how you learn best, what you need, and what your interests are. I can certainly review and teach grammar in the traditional way, but I know that many people learn best if they feel that the lessons connect to their own goals and to the things they love. We can focus on the skills you need to engage in conversations you know you want to have, practice vocabulary that you need, depending on your field and interests, and we can make learning fun. In my teaching, I use the films, music, and texts - stories, blogs, recipes, or news articles, that are of most interest to the learner. I believe that a student should leave each lesson excited to learn more and happy to keep trying. |
