I have been studying Spanish for about four years. I studied in Ecuador for 1 month and have taken introductory university courses. My primary goal is to improve my understanding of spoken Spanish and my ability to converse. I have traveled in Spanish-speak ing countries and I get by quite well in standard tourist situations.
I am in Ottawa until the end of July and I am looking for a tutor to spend a couple of hours a week with me while I am here. I would prefer someone within walking distance of the Byward market.

Hello.
My name is Jonathan Valoroso and I am very interested in learning the Japanese language.
Let me start by saying that I am beginning right from scratch. The extent of my knowledge of the Japanese language is what I've learned from American movies.
Thin gs like, 'Thank you' and 'Goodbye'.
You could say that I want to learn the Japanese language mainly for fun or entertainment purposes, however I believe it will be crucial in follwing several future dreams of mine.
My interest sparked from my experience with Japanese animation and video games.
These things are a constant influence in my life and have given me the dream to become involved in those industries.
Seeing as how those industries mostly originate from Japan, I believe that if I was to ever follow my dreams I would one day wind up in Japan.
I wish to learn everything I can (speach, reading and writing).
Or , as much necessary if assuming that one day I would live in Japan and behave like a regular citizen.
I do work full-time, but I would be willing to dedicate a great deal of my time (or as much as I can, while maintaining my quality of life) to my lessons.
I would enjoy a teacher who is who is proffesional, yet fun. Someone who would be patient with me, but at the same time push me and motivate me to do better.
I am the kind of person who has an easier time listening to friends than anyone else. I wouldn't say I am a teachers pet, however. I just enjoy making new friends, so if I had to spend a lot of time with a teacher, friendship would be inevitable!
In short, I am looking for a teacher/frien d.
I hope to hear back from anyone who is willing to teach someone who is ready to learn!

I have many chinese speaking friends and would love to be able to communicate with their families. I also am a huge fan of learning a new language and think that chinese would be a great one to learn. Although I have been told Mandarin would be easier i would prefer cantonese. I am at the begginner level and have done some audio cd lessons but would like to be able to carry a conversation. I work throughout the week and would like to dedicate some evenings to learning a new langauge.

I want to learn arabic to better my knowledge of the language and eventually speak it fluently for my own personal benefit.
I want to learn everything there is to know about the language from grammar to conversation.
I would like to dedicate an hour 2-3 times per week if possible.
