Just beginning to learn Czech, because I am going to visit friends and family in the Czech Republic this summer. Conversation and grammar is what I'd like to excel in, so I can talk with the people there. I am willing to spend as much time as I can on learning Czech, as it might help me in my future career as I study foreign affairs. I have no knowledge of Arabic right now, so I would be a complete beginner. I'm interested in learning the language because I find it very interesting and it seems that it could be useful for some careers that I am considering. I'm able to dedicate a considerable amount of time to lessons right now. I've taken a few different languages at school and have found that I learn best through interaction and participation with other students and the teacher, so that is what I would be looking for.

I'm at the beginner level. My parents are both Slovenian and Slovenian was spoken in our family though it was never formally taught to me. In those days 1960's the emphasis was to learn English so that I would assimilate into mainstream Canadian society and thus from speaking French and Slovenian at the age of 5, today I'm only fluent in English. I want to learn how to speak Slovenian and am very capable to get to Toronto to take lessons. My parents and brothers and sisters all live in the area.
