My proficiency level is beginner to intermediate, and I am learning French for a couple of reasons. First of all, I have a home in Ottawa and will be returning there in September. The job position I'm applying for there requires a working knowledge of French. Also, my girlfriend is Mexican and speaks Spanish and French fluently, but English only as a third language. Thus, for the sake of good communication and a healthy relationship it is important for me to learn one of her languages.
Particular improvement is needed in conversation as this is primary for my job and relationship.
I am willing to dedicate a few evenings a week to this, but am flexible.
Qualities I am looking for in a teacher are dedication and clarity.

I took french in school from JK to grande nine, so I do understand some French but I would still classify my self as a beginer. I have always wanted to become fluent in French and now that I want to become a flight attendent I need to have two languages. I am looking for one lesson a week. I have never learned spanish and it will be a first experience for me. I am a beginner.
I want to learn spanish to feel confortable going in south America for traveling.
I would like to dedicate about 1 hour per week to my lessons and maybe an additional 2 hours to study.

I have lived in taiwan for one year and I am moving back to Calgary in a couple of weeks. I have picked up a bit of Mandarin from my students and friends, as well as taken 9 weeks of classes. I have a text book and audio CDs and I would like to to continue learning with a native speaker.
