I am ashamed to say that I started 3 years ago to learn Russian, but after learning the Cyrillic alphabet and some simple speaking, I have not progresses to the level I desire. I have been travellin to Russia on average about 3 or 4 times a year. And really want to learn more. I'll be going to St. Pete again in June 2007 for White Nights, and am also planning a trip probably in March. I'd really enjoy to advance my Russian to a new level by June. I am currently in the process of relocating back to Edmonton, and am hoping to be settled back in Edmonton (Sherwood Park) by the end of February.

-I am a beginner, although i have a slight background about the language.
-I know few words, sentences, expressions and numbers in German.
-I am interested in learning German because i like travelling and i am interested in expereincing different cultures.
-I also feel that being able to speak several languages is a great assest that will pay off later on in my life.
-The area that i am most interested in is conversation. I am free from May and untill August, and i would prefer a 2 hours session.

I knew some basic Mandarin phrases about a year ago, I am a beginner in the language. I want to be able to be able to have intermediate and possibly advanced conversations in Mandarin in the future.
I think this would benefit me in the future as a business person, although currently I am just a student. I am willing to dedicate quite a lot of time to the lessons as long as I am seeing good results (multiple hours a week).
The qualities I am looking for in a teacher is someone that is patient, a good teacher, and has good english skills as well.
