I am British, married to a Palestinian for hte last 30 yrs. We lived in Kuwait for 5 yrs late 1970's early '80's where i did learn a little coloquial arabic. My children however did not learn any, born and grown in Canada and we would all now like to learn just to appreciate the language and culture and to be able to converse as they do have Arab names. We are prepared to attend classes a couple of times a week or have private tuition at home if this can be arranged evenings or weekends.Than k you and regards Sally

I am travelling to mozambique and would like to learn proper portuguese. Don't get me wrong, I love Brazilian Portuguese but I hear that there is a difference between Brazilian and Portugal portuguese. I will be working in Suriname soon too and will need Brazilian Portuguese as well. I spent two months in Brazil in 2004 and learned a little.
I need improvement in conversation mostly.
3 hrs a week of actual lesson time at most. Only really available on weekends.
Preferable to be able to meet someone in the kits/ubc area

i only know a few words, mother was born in hungry, grantparents also here...just want to learn to have another language also i would like to have a conversation with my grandparents, would love to go to Hungry and see my family there aswell.
Ti me on this: that depends on me, i want to learn it all but just to speak it is the min.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a beginner but know many words. My pronunciation is not bad but grammar is virtualy non existent. I am very interested in learning spanish since I have spanish speaking friends in Mexico City that are not very good at english.
My goal is to be able to communicate with them in writing as well as speaking. I allready own a 170 000 word spanish-engli sh dictonnary, a Bescherelle 'Les verbs espagnols', as well as the ' 2 books with the title: Esespañol 1 nivel inicial, curso de español 1)cuaderno de recursos y ejercicios 2) libro del alumno from the Instituto Cervantes.
I would like to have 2 x 2 hours sessions weekly in my home/office or your home/office. I am looking for a teacher that has a system and that will give homework. A course outline would be an asset. If you deem it necessary I would gladly supplement our sessions with a program like Rosetta Stone's.
I f your a serious teacher do not hesitate to contact me! I would like to meet you in person before we negotiate price and location but more importantly discuss the course plan.
