-i have taken french in grade 9 in highschool and thats about it. so its below basic and not enough.
- im want to learn the language because im fasinated by it and have always had an interest but needed the encouragment, plus..my fiance speaks fluent french and i would love to surprize him and learn it myself.
- my area of interest is basically conversation. i wanna simply be able to have a conversation with someone.
- it doesnt matter, as long as its during the summer time, because i have university to attend to in september.
- i want a dedicated teacher with excellent communication skills. a teacher whos able to make a fun, easy going learning enviroment..i f thats the case i would probably work twice as hard to achive my goal.

I am a beginner and would like to learn grammar, conversation, and be able to communicate with ease in vietnamese. The reason why i wish to learn the language is because my girl friend who i have been with for 3 years is vietnamese along with her entire family. They are fluent in english but they prefer vietnamese so i wish to make them comfortable by learning it myself. I would dedicate any time to the lessons but i may be working and have driving lessons so i will be sure to organize the time such that my other activities don't intervene with my learning. I would like a teacher who is understanding , patient, and encouraging.

My mother's background is Slovak, and I was born in Austria. I have my German, but when I visit my family in Slovakia, it is frustrating, because even though my family can speak German, they sometimes forget and then they have to translate.
I want to be able to communicate with my family in Slovak not in German. Plus, not everyone in my family can speak German, so it's a little hard to communicate with everyone. I am definitely a beginner.
I commute to Toronto for work and have friends in Mississauga. I would be willing to travel to either/or. I'm thinking that the grammar part of the lesson would excel my conversationa l skills in the long run.
I have tired to learn through my mother with no success due to the fact she wasn't able to explain the WHY part of the lesson.
I have taken German lessons when I was in school even though I can speak German, to increase my skills.
As far as time, I would want to see how it goes, hard to say at this time. But I would definitely want to get the basics down if nothing else.
Qual ities in the lessons, need structure, book to follow, exercises to practice.
As far as the teacher, one that does not just hand things to you and says do it. If I had such a teacher, I might as well go on the internet.
Hope this is enough of a description. I look forward to hearing from someone in the near future.
