I am a complete beginner, i do not know any Vietnamese at all.
I wish to learn because i intend to visit Vietnam, as a tourist, next year and i would like to be prepared.
I' m really only concerned with conversationa l classes, though some familiarity with reading might be helpful.
I would like to take classes once or twice a week, possibly more, closer to my trip.
My lessons should be either one on one or with a very small group.
I would like my teacher to be fully capable of helping me achieve my goal as well as being relatively friendly, and totally approachable.
I would expect my lessons to have some structure, and i am also prepared to spend time outside my class practising and completing homework.

My spanish level from a scale of 1 to 10 is a 1. I wish to learn spanish because I will be going to Colombia in july 2007. I need improvment in every area. I would like to dedicate as much time as i can before july 2007. the qulities i am looking for in a Spanish teacher are patient and persistant. I would say I am an intermediate Spanish speaker. I am learning for travel purposes, one of my goals is to become fluent. I need improvement in Grammar, and conversation I could also use some review of the different tenses. I am available most weekday mornings, but I would like to meet one or two days a week. I would like it if the teacher was fluent, and had an effective teaching method.
