I am at a beginner level of Punjabi. I have taken some classes at UBC, but they have ended. I am not looking to furter learn the language. My main area is the conversation skills to communicate easy. I am will to dedicate as much of my time as I am able to. I do work full time and will be taking evening class in the fall of 2006. I would like to learn Punjabi for a couple of reasons one being the career I am studing is good to know more than one language, another would be I live in B.C. and it is a very muilt-cultura l province. These are some of the reasons I would like to study Punjabi.

I am a beginner in learning Chinese and Korean, although I'm a little more intermediate when it comes to Japanese. I'm learning these languages just because I enjoy it and I think they will help me out in my career path eventually. Mostly in all of them I need to improve on my conversation skills, I dislike working on it but I know I have to. I pick up writing and grammar, etc very quickly so it's not as much of a problem.
I'm looking mainly for Korean or Chinese help right now. I plan to go to China soon and I'd like to practice more and get used to the language again before I go. I would just like to have a patient teacher who will focus more on the positive than what I'm doing wrong.
