I have recently become very involved with a particular group of Tibetans from a monastery in India and have started to learn some of their language.
I am hoping to continue my involvement with these people helping them arrange tours etc in Canada, as well as starting up non-profit organisations aimed at further assisting the refugees in the monastery.
While communication up until now has been done in person and through a translator travelling with the Tibetans I feel my proficieny in their language will help me immensely now that contact will be made mainly over the phone and via written communication such as email and letters.
A ny help I can get with learning this language would be greatly appreciated.
I will specify the dialect further however, if it helps I believe they understand and speak Lhasa dialect. There is a more specific name for the region the particular ones I would be communicating with are from.
I will add that info in as I am able to obtain the correct spelling of it in English.
R ight now I am at a very beginner level of learning this language but am VERY eager to continue as soon as possible.

My parents both speak Gujarati fluently however unfortunately I can only speak the language at a very elementary level. I do however have a fairly proficient understanding of the language when it is spoken to me.
I would like to be able to communicate in Gujarati simply for the sake of being able to communicate with certain family members as well as ensuring that I stay in touch with my culture.
I would be interested with working with a teacher who is in Toronto as I do not have access to a car.
