I am hoping to visit Iran next Spring, for the second time. This time I would like to prepare myself by learning a bit of the language. I'm a university professor who has learned other languages. I have time this coming year to dedicate to learning this language and am looking for a native speaker who is willing to guide me, who also has experience teaching this language.

To whom it may concern,
I am presently a student at McGill University, and wish to learn a new language. I would be interested in learning spanish at the beginner legel.
My interest in the language has sprung from my recent visit to Cuba where I had met many new friends, and although they can communicate in English, I believe it would be beneficial to learn their language too. In addition I am very interested in visiting other parts of Latin America where communication in Spanish is essential.
I have already begun learning on my own with an activity book purchased from Chapters, however I find that in order to speak I would benefit the most from a private teacher in a small group atmosphere.
I would be looking for a teacher that is focused and willing to take on an eager learner.

I would say I am intermediate because Cantonese is my first language. Growing up in Toronto i quickly developed the English language and used it everyday as my first language. I want to become more fluent in Cantonese especially with my conversation. I would like to dedicate 2-3 days a week on lessons. I look for sense of humour, good teaching style and patience from a teacher.
