Hello!
I am currently a 3rd year UBCO student studying psychology and one of my degree requirements is the completion of 2 years of beginner - intermediate Spanish. I completed 101 with a solid mark and decided to take 102 this summer, and found that i was struggling a lot more with the content of this course. At around the half way point of the 6 week August semester i decided it was time to track down some extra help, and a close friend hooked me up with a family friend that tutors, and it helped a great deal in the past 2 weeks. Unfortunately she had to leave town from the 12th to the 20th and my final exam for the course is on Tuesday the 21st which is the day after she gets back.
I was wondering if it would be at all possible to get some tutoring help this week and weekend if there is availability. This is my first time taking a second language course and i'm finding the fast pace (the course is only 6 weeks long), and the need to split my time between another 4th year course im taking this semester is having an adverse effect on my ability to learn the language. I have found working with a tutor helps the learning process as well as assists in studying for exams and quizzes.
I know this is very short notice but any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm taking the second year Spanish 201 and 202 courses over the winter semesters and would also be interested in some tutoring help with those classes if there is availability in your schedule.

I wish to learn Punjabi because it is the first language of my wife and the only language of several of her family members.
M aintaining these relationships is important to me and being able to teach my children about their heritage would be facilitated by having a fully bilingual household.
I have been reading the Punjabi book in the 'Teach Yourself' series but consider myself a beginner.
Grammar and pronunciation are particular problems, but I do have exercises from the text series, so if time constraints become an issue I would prefer to focus on pronunciation and conversation, since they are more urgent requirements for social usage.
I am willing to dedicate as many as 3-4 hours per week to language study.
In a teacher, I would say tolerance and patience would be the most important qualities I would look for. My situation is not unique, but still fairly uncommon and I would greatly appreciate somebody who is more interested in satisfying a thirst for learning rather than judging my motivations.
