I would like to learn Mandarin Chinese. My boyfriend is sponsoring his parents to move here from Beijing in 2 years. His mother does not speak English and I would like to be able to communicate with her to some degree without a translator. I do not speak any Mandarin aside from counting to ten and a few basic words. I would like to attend class for one or perhaps two sessions per week. In a teacher, I like someone who is personable, understanding and relaxed....an d very patient. I am a single mother of three, so some flexibility in scheduling would be greatly appreciated. I very much look forward to beginning my studies and surprising my boyfriend with my accomplishmen ts.

I would like to learn chinese for personnal interest. I have taken a one year mandarin course 20 years ago at Ottawa University, but I have forgotten what I have learned. I would like to focus on conversation but also using a textbook so that I may learn pinyin and maybe some caracters also.
I would like to dedicate one to three hours a week on learning, but it may be more depending on how things are progressing.

Good Morning,
I was surfing the net and I stumbled across this website. I am very interested in learning Serbian. I have been with my boyfriend for almost 5 years and he is Serbian whereas I am from the Caribbeans (Trinidad) which, our national language is English. So I was never introduced to any other leanguage. I tried learning the language through him and on my own but time is always a factor. His parents do speak alittle bit of English but, sometimes it is hard to communicate towards one another. Especially his grandmother who doesn't speak a word of English only, German and Serbian. I believe I know the basic. For example saying how are you 'Kako ste?', I am good-'Dobro', things like that but, my goal is to be able to not only speak the language but to as well be able to read and write too. I am willing to dedicate myself to this lessons if they will help me out tremendously. My preference for a teacher on teaching me Serbian is somebody who is willing to take the time and make me understand what needs to be know about the Serbian language. Through my boyfriend I am quite familair with the Serbian history so I am comfortable with that aspect but, when it comes to the language I need help.
