I want to learn Ukrainian because i will eventually be going to Ukraine and want to be able to talk to others. I know some little words but not a lot so I'm at a beginner level. It has always been my goal to move to Japan to continue my teaching and performance career. I finished my B.Mus a few years ago and during that time I attempted to take courses in Japanese. Unfortunately , I couldn't make all the classes in the second semester, as they were in conflict with my music classes. That being said, I do have some beginner experience with the language but I am very much a beginner. I'm looking for a teacher who will help me develop my conversationa l abilities (as I had very little experience with that in a large classroom setting) as well as reading and writing. As for the time I'm willing to dedicate to my studies; I am a private teacher myself and I have about 5-6 hours available of free time each day as well as the odd break when students don't show up. I'm looking for a friendly teacher that isn't afraid to push me as hard as they think I can handle. This is one of my big goals for my career and I will put all my energy into it to make it happen.
