Hej,
I am a recent McGill graduate who is continuing my studies in Anthropology at the University of Copenhagen in the fall. I lived in Denmark for a semester as an exchange student in the winter of 2009. While there I took an introductory class in Danish. I am hoping to improve my Danish skills before moving back to Copenhagen in September.
-I want to focus on conversationa l skills- especially pronunciation .

I am wanting to learn Russian because I love languages, I want to learn all languages if I could but I wanted to learn one that does not resemble French, English whatsoever. So, I decided on Russian. I studied up on Russia, its culture, its people and the language, of course. I love it.
It is something very new to me, the alphabet, the cyrillic alphabet is all new, some same letters, some new ones but I love a challenge. Plus, I also have friends that speak Russian, Ukrainian and Polish, so those are my next steps. I'm in the midst of learning Polish and Portuguese too.
I am at a beginner-inte rmediate level. I know the alphabet, basic greetings, I know how to write the alphabet and a few words. I find it hard to write though. I have trouble with grammar, how to convert, when to change the ends of the words, how to change whether your're addressing a female or male. I would ideally like to have 2-3 lessons per week for 1.5 hours. I am dedicated to learning, and I want to devote my time to learning the language.
I would like a teacher who cares about the person they are tutoring. i want someone who wants to teach me, who wants to teach me to write and speak. I want to be fluent in Russian and I want for my teacher to want that for me too. I want someone who can commit and devote their time to teaching me. I would like to have 3 lessons per week, i know it's a lot, but that is what I want. If you are unable to make that, maybe you know of someone else who is available.
