I would like to learn Italian for a trip to Italy I'm planning in a little over a year.
I do not speak Italian yet, therefore will be considered a beginner.

I am learning this foreign language so I can be fluent in conversationa l Hewbrew. It is my father's first language and I have always had a passion to learn it but due to studying abroad, I have not been able to. I am a complete beginner. My ethnic heritage is Ukrainian. My grandparents emigrated from southwest Ukraine to Alberta, Canada, in the early 1930s. My mother, her sister and brother were all taught Ukrainian as a first language but quickly lost their ability to speak and understand Ukrainian once they began attending English-langu age schools.
I would like to learn Ukrainian for two reasons: first, to better my appreciation of my ethnic background, and second, to have the ability to communicate with some of my older, Ukrainian-spe aking patients as I work as a Registered Nurse in Edmonton, Alberta.
I would like to learn conversationa l Ukrainian, as well as the ability to read the language in popular media such as newspapers and magazines.
I would like to have language lessons twice a week.
I would like my teacher to be very patient with me and enjoy teaching the language.
