Hi there!
I am a beginner in the Italian language. I have spent quite a lot of time in Italy but I have not found the courage to use the language. My vocabulary retention is quite large because of this but I need to find a gentle, understanding teacher to help me get my feet wet. I definitely need help with grammar and conversationa l skills. My husband speaks Italian and I will be moving to Italy in August to begin building a home and start a business.
I was wondering if you would have a few weeks, mornings or afternoons to begin with. Or 8 Saturdays etc. I live in BC so I would have to stay with a friend for a week at a time or drive in each weekend. Some of this could be done on-line but I would like to focus on the day to day conversation that I will require.

So lately I've been realizing that I'm having a harder and harder time communicating with my parents. On top of that my language marks at school are not the best, so I decided it's time to fix this on going problem at the source. This is going to be my first time learning a new language and I'm really looking forward to this learning opportunity. I don't work well under pressure so I guess the only quality I want in a teacher is that they can use a soft voice while teaching me new words and concepts. I hope learning Cantonese is going to be a fun experience for this eager youngster!

I want to to learn a foreign language because i think it would be interresting and because I think it would help me in my career I want to pursue. I am a beginner for both Mandarin and Japanese, I have never studied it before. I would like to dedicate about 3-5 hours a week on the language with a teacher. I took French in high school and without using it I've lost a lot of what I learned. I've been relearning it on my own, but without practicing, conversations are not easy. I want to be fluent for myself to know it as well as for work. I'm not sure exactly how much time I want to spend on it, I would need advice on what would be a good amount of time each week. I want someone who can understand what I need as well as push me to speak in French. I find it easy to pick up the reading and writing, but I really want to be able to speak fluently.
