I'm leaving for Italy in 3 weeks for a 3 week visit and would like basic conversationa l skills. I know a bit of french so I'm hoping that will come in handy :)
I'm looking for either one on one or very small group but really looking to get as much as I can in the next couple of weeks so I can feel somewhat comfortable at least just ordering a coffee! It's probably more one on one that I'm looking for and hoping for maybe 4 to 5 lessons before I leave...

Hello,
I would like to learn Italian because I will be travelling there this year in October and am interested in having some basic proficiency with the language. I am a beginner and have no prior experience learning Italian. My knowledge and abilities in French are intermediate.
Ideally I would like to have weekly or biweekly lessons, schedules permitting. I like to learn by understanding the rules of the language, its grammar, how the language is related to English and/or French and through repetition. I would be interested in learning oral and written Italian. My primary goal is to be able to get around wherever I am travelling and to be capable of interacting with people on a basic level.

I have been trying to learn spanish so I can work as a nurse in Honduras, My learning has been difficult just using books and disks. Was needing about 2 hours a week with a tutor. I could talk on the phone and online webcam at the same time. I live in rural sask and use a satalite for communication . So when I hook up to web cam the pic will get distorted at times. That is why I have chatted using phone and web at the same.I would call because I have unlimited phone minutes. It would be nice to be taught by a person that I can also see my tutor. I will be also working very hard inbetween lessons to be prepared to speach spanish in one year. At least at a conversation level.
