I would like to learn how to read and write chinese and speak Mandarin fluently. I would consider myself a beginner in Mandarin, however I can speak Cantonese fluently. When I was young, I attended Chinese school for 10 years. I know very basic chinese writing skills.
I would like to learn Mandarin so that I can work in China in the next couple of years. My goal is to gain international work experience and my destination is China.
The areas that I feel I need improvement is conversation.
I would like to dedicate 3 hours per week for language lessons. After each lesson, I expect to be given homework for me to practise writing and learning a conversation in Mandarin. I understand it will take practise to learn a new language which I am willing to put time and effort into.

My Dad's first language is French and my mom is fluent in it. I would like to learn French for my own benefit. As for Portuguese, My dad has lived in Brazil for 10 years and I go down to visit him every other year or so. I speak a very little amount of Portuguese, not enough to out on my own when I’m visiting my dad and I would really like to explore his city with out him and meet new people.
I know absolutely no French and speak very little Portuguese so would be a beginner in both. I would like to dedicate 1 or 2 sessions a week.
I am also slightly dyslectic so it would be harder for me to understand the grammar and spelling, so I would need a teacher that would be very patient and understanding .

I have conversationa l Cantonese, but would like help with technical, medical vocabulary, which is needed in my work as a speech-langua ge pathologist.
