i am learning the language because of my great interest in the Japanese culture. I am an novice in all aspects of the language, however, i have started some independent studying and know a few basic words and greetings. i also began to memorize and work on the hiragana alphabet but that is all as of now. i would like to work on all aspects such as grammar and conversation and what the tutor deems worthy of learning. i hope to dedicate two hours a week if not more in a near future, and put some hours of independent study as well. My short term goal is being able to read(manga) and converse with decency and for a long term goal, i would wish to visit the country some day and have a certain knowledge of the language. the qualities i am looking at a teacher are: a certain flexibility in schedule, patience,uses friendly teaching methods, understanding and is not afraid to give a little homework!

I am interested in learning Chinese because along with my proficiency of English and Korean, Chinese seems to be the language to know because of its growing influence in the world. I do not have much prior knowledge of Chinese at all and I'm looking for lessons once or twice a week.
