Hi, I'm learning Mandarin for personal interest and also wish to be able to converse in Mandarin with a friend. I need help with basic conversationa l skills! Reading proficiency is much better - I can read Chinese texts (in characters) at about an intermediate- college level and would like to be able to read newspapers in Chinese. I am looking to learn the German language. My husband and his family are German and are all fluent in German. I am a beginner and know just a few words and phrases in this language. I am in a position where I can dedicate 2-3 hours a week of direct learning time and I can do at home studying on an ongoing basis. Since my husband is fluent in German we can do practice and learning at home as well.
I would like a teacher who can give me a good foundation to the language and can provide strong assistance in pronuciation.
