I believe I am between beginner to intermediate level in Japanese. I can read and write hiragana, katakana, and kanji. I cannot read all kanji but being chinese I can guess most of there meaning.
I just want to be able to speak another language.
I would love to improve my conversationa l skills. I am having a hard time communicating with my Japanese coworkers.
A s much as possible. Maybe 3 lesson per week if time allows.
I am looking for teachers who are enthusiastic, responsible, and know what they are doing.

I am a beginner who is struggling to learn Mandarin. I tried in first year UVic but was not disciplined enough to attain the understanding of mandarin requisite of advancing to the next level. I would like to work with someone 1 on 1 because I found it difficult to pay attention in the classes that were 2 hours long, it failed to stimulate me. I have particular difficulty in understanding the order of words as well as a lack of a good ear. I hope to be able to listen and read mandarin media.I am hoping to learn the mandarin language so that I can one day live in Eastern Asia and work there.
