Minda is a 14 year old that has a vision to go to africa, part of her trip will take her to mwanza tanzania. I assume she will need to learn swahili. she is totally foriegn to speaking any other language. She is very dedicated to learning the language necessary for sharing what God has put on her heart. I am a beginner. I studied in Kenya in 2002 and had a one month intensive course, but most of that is lost now. I want to learn Swahili for fun and to keep in touch with my host family and friends back in Kenya. I also am thinking of traveling back there. I would like to meet once a week. I am a beginner student of Swahili. I have traveled extensively in East Africa, particularly Uganda and Tanzania, and would like to continue with the language I've picked up on those travels. I would like to begin with conversation, but will also need grammer and writing skills as I advance. I would like to spend between 2-3 hours a week in live lessons.
I would prefer a native speaker, but most importantly the teacher must be experienced in teaching Swahili to native English speakers and must be patient.
