I would like to improve my conversationa l French and to generally increase my level of confidence when travelling and meeting people in France. I intend to eventually purchase a property in France and set up a Gite or a Bed and Breakfast business. I am currently attending an informal discussion group where we look at 'Ma France' BBC videos and work from the Living French text book. I would like the teacher to inspire me to speak French perhaps using 'role playing' situations. I would assess my general level to be lower intermediate.

I am learning Arabic for fun at the moment but with a view to work abroad at some point in the future. I have completed a modern standard Arabic course for beginners at SOAS last year but now feel that I would benefit from some 1-2-1 tuition. I would like to improve on my listening, conversation and grammar skills. I would prefer a female teacher to give me an hour per week's lesson in my home in east London.
