Hello!
My name is Christopher Patrick Donoghue.
I' m interested in learning a few different languages for a few different purposes.
Ga elic, for ancestral and for traveling purposes.
Ma ndarin and French because of family and close friend relations, travel and because many people speak Mandarin and French in Vancouver.
P ortuguese because I want to travel to Brazil, and because there are many Brazilians traveling through Vancouver.
I would love to become a flight attendant, tour guide or translator.
Language is a strong academic interest of mine with practical family and career tangents.
I am very dedicated to mastering the fluency of each language.
I know nothing of each language with the exception of French, in which I have some vocabulary and some grammatical understanding .
For lesson time and dedication, I would like about 3 to 5 hours per week; one language at a time.
In my lesson and teacher quality I am looking for someone to help me memorize the rules of reading and writing, and to help me learn to converse easily.

I am currently learning basic Russian in university with the goal to eventually become fluent in the language. I plan to travel to St.Petersburg in the summer of 2014 for a Russian intensive program however I want to be reasonably comfortable with the language, especially in conversation, before I leave. I am looking for a teacher/tutor to work with me this year from around April to August so I can improve my understanding of Russian before I return to school. Thanks!

1. I will be going to Holland in the beginning of May with my mom to do research on our family history and learn more about my grandpa's role as a member of the 'underground' during the war. My mom was the only child out of 9 that was not born in Holland. The native language on my mom's side is Dutch.
2. Beginner
3 . My mom has taught me a few words when I was little, but I would really like to learn how to read (since we will be reading a lot of old archives), understand conversation and be able to speak back and forth. I think I'm asking for a lot, but I'm very motivated to learn and hopefully be fluent.
4. I would like to start early January 2013 and end early May 2013. I would love to meet in the evenings if possible. I'm a student during the day. I could do 3-5 days a week and weekends, if need be.
5. I would like to have someone who is patient, caring, genuine, has the ability to push their students, enjoys answering questions, appreciates effort and can have fun.
