I am a complete beginner. I need to learn because I am engaged to a bengali guy and I want to be able to speak to his family in their native language. Also it is very important to him that I learn. I want to develop strong grammar, pronunciation and vocabluary skills. I have taken french, german and cantonese language classes in high school and university and would like a teacher that follows a similar approach to teaching as is found in these types of classes.

I'm a very basic beginner as far as the Spanish language goes. I've learned to sing in Spanish, so pronunciation and the physical reading of the words and phonetic sounds is not foreign to me, however general comprehension of the language is lacking.
I'm heading off to Bible School in Spain in January and although my school is offering optional classes once I get there, I'd like a base knowledge to work off of.
Conver sation would be the most helpful tool when living and communicating in Spain for me. Nothing worse than asking for the wrong thing at the most awkward time.
I'm ready to dedicate 5-10 hours a week studying this language. Including, of course, time spent at home reviewing and practicing on my own.
In a teacher, all I ask for is someone who loves what they do and is proficient at their job.

Beginner - I have taken one entry level university spanish class, in 1998. I am very interested in the spanish language and will be married in Cuba in March so would like to be somewhat proficient in the language before then.
I am english-frenc h bilingual so understand the structure of the language (verbs/ gender).
I would like to dedicate roughly 6-8 hours per week on the lessons.
