Time is a factor because I do have two younger children with me at home and my seven year old also wants to learn these languages

2 .) I would like to do some travelling in a couple of years. Another reason is that I like watching Korean drama so I want to understand without relying too much on subtitles. =]

Hi there,
I am a beginner at speaking portugese, i went to Brazil for Carnaval 2005 and learned only a few phrases and sayings over 3 weeks. I would like to be at an intermediate level by the time i go to Brazil in January 2006. I am learning this foreign language because i would like to make future business contacts in Brazil and i plan to travel back once a year as i have made several friends there. I have been using freetranslati ons.com to speak to them but i am not good at pronounciatio n. I need improvement in both grammar and pronounciatio n and would like to know enough to communicate. I am willing to dedicate 2-3 nights per week on portugese lessons. I would like a teacher that is patient and friendly as i am very weak with my portugese.

I used to speak Hungarian as a child, and I still understand the gist of ideas when I hear it spoken (depending on the speed of speech), but I would like to get to be able to read quickly and speak eloquently (enrich my vocabulary, as most of the words I know are in diminutive form and are limited to the ones one uses as a child). Given my background, I think I can learn quickly.
