I am a beginner who has look at learning on line but cant find anything suitable. I am in the process of tracing my family on the Isle of Skye and want to learn so I can read what has been written and would one day like to take a trip there and think it would be benifical. I wish to further my French language for government job opportunities . I use to be bilingual, but I lost most of my French since graduating high school, and not having spoken to my French relatives for some time. I am able to carry a basic conversation in French, but am lacking proper grammar and writing skills in French. I am willing to spend 2-3 days a week learning lessons. The qualities I am looking for in a teacher is someone who has French as their first language, and is very patient. I want them to challenge me and focus on teaching me advanced conversation skills as well as to teach me how to write in proper French. I am sure I will be able to become fluent again in a short amount of time.

I want to learn Russian because I believe that learning languages and about other cultures is important in learning more about yourself. I love challenges and can speak Panjabi, basic Hindi, English and French. Languages and music are now playing a larger part in my life because at 18 I'd like to travel to Russia for volunteer. I am a beginner and would like private teaching. I will dedicate as much time as possible in learning and I want a strict yet understanding teacher because I am in high school and I do art and music on the side.

My husband is from Ponta Delgada and we are planning on moving to Portugal in the next couple of years. I would love to be able to say 'I am fluent in french'. This applies to reading and writing as well. I have taken classes in the past but feel that I would benefit more if classes were one on one. I am taking this very serious as this is a huge benefit for a potential career advancement.
I can dedicate evenings and weekends to this and am looking for a teacher who has patience and is flexible in his/her schedule.
