I desire to learn Turkish as it has always been on my bucket list of things I've wanted to do. In addition, I have a friend with whom I would like to be able to better converse (both orally and written). I also plan to visit Turkey in about 3 years time.
I am a true beginner and know about 5-10 words of the language thus far. I am willing to spend up to 5 hours a week in class time, perhaps more depending on how the lessons are structured. I can only make perhaps 2 trips a week to the city to take lessons at this point as it is over an hour commute to the edge of the city. Add more time depending on where the lessons will take place.
I am looking for a patient teacher with opportunity to take lessons home and be able to work on material on my own. Age and genders are not issues as long as healthy respect is shown on both fronts.

Have been working in Quebec, Canada for 11 years. Mostly in French. English has always been part of my day there as I used to listen American TV and Radio show. Been working in English with Foreign colleagues so I was able to practice.
