I want to learn the Serbian language for a number of different reasons. First of all, I am half Serbian, and half Polish. I will be visiting Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia in the Summer of 2010. Many of my friends are Serbian. I have learned a lot through my friends, but nobody really has the time to teach me everything. I would like to start from the bottom and get a thorough understanding of the language.

I am a beginner with fully Czech maternal ancestry. I would very much be able to visit the land of my forbears as well as to be able to read the vibrant literature and paricipate in the culture of what is now the Czech Republic. I live in Modesto CA and work three to four days per week in Sacramento, allowing me to pursue lessons in either locale. In addition, given the obvious lack of teachers of the Czech language, I would be willing to consider travel to the San Francisco Bay area or other sites within a reasonable distance.
